Sweet Sounds for Springtime



It would be an understatement to say that Fleet Foxes album is one of the most highly anticipated debut albums of the year. From listening to the songs featured on their Myspace and their most recent New York appearance, its understandable why. I was lucky to catch the Fleet Foxes opening for Blitzen Trappen at Bowery Ballroom last month, they were outstanding. Although vocalist Robin Pecknold 3 days into having the flu, they still managed to sound as wonderful as I had expected them to. They were also endearingly humble, unpretentious, & even engaging the audience with some conversation (something all too rare these days).

With joy, I bring forth their featured Daytrotter session. To enjoy it to the fullest, I suggest making yourself a cold glass of lemonade, opening up the windows, and sitting back to enjoy the sweetest of harmonies of Fleet Foxes. Also, be sure to catch them finishing up their US tour in just a few days or as they embark on their European tour in late May. All tour dates below:
